SAMR Model
Concepts on SAMR model The SAMR model, developed by Dr. Ruben Puentedura, is a framework used to understand and evaluate the integration of technology into teaching and learning practices. SAMR stands for Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition, representing four levels of technology integration ranging from simple enhancement to transformational change. Levels of the SAMR Model: Substitution: At the substitution level, technology is used as a direct substitute for a traditional tool or process without significant changes in the task. The technology may provide some minor benefits, such as increased efficiency or accessibility, but does not fundamentally alter the learning experience. Example: Using a word processing software instead of handwriting assignments. Augmentation: Technology at the augmentation level adds some functional improvements to the task compared to traditional methods. It enhances the learning experience by offering additional features or capabili...
